I was told that Roland Christen made this triplet for himself.
a german worldfamous imager bought the optics with AP Rings and AP Reducer for himself and build around it a tube. The tube has a very old 2.7" AP focuser and big extension. The focuser can be replaced for any other focuser for extra money .

It was re-oiled by Roland Christen in July 2023 , just recently

- tube length with dew shield mounted and focuser racked in 293 cm = 115.35 inch
- length from lens cell back to racked in focuser end 2" 275 cm = 108.27 inch, this means this telescope has plenty of back focus to use any accessorie
- weight of complete OTA include rings 33.2 kg = 73 lbs


optional available is a 

8 inch white light high quality glas filter in Cell for $ 1500
and
8 inch energy rejection filter in cell for $ 2500 

crating cost of this beast is about $ 1200 and  shipping to USA about $ 2,000.00

cheaper would be if you buy the lens in cell , tube adapters front and rear , focuser, rings , accessories.

then we have no crating cost and shipping would be 300 $ only

this is a saving if 2900 $ and you could buy in USA a cheaper Alu tube and get it painted

also if you like it more compact, we could build you a nice foldet tube, so it can become transportable on a small mount
