I have switched to pure visual and am letting go of this high quality and versatile telephoto lens (convertible to a spotting scope), featuring fluorite crystal and extra-low dispersion glass from Kowa Japan.
The native lens is 500mm F5.6 which comes with the TX-10 adapter for use with Sony A-mount cameras. Optics and coatings are in excellent condition, with only very minor internal dust. Foucsing action is smooth and accurate. No mechanical issue and the solid, light alloy body is dustproof and weatherproof. Cosmetically, this very clean lens has minor signs of use and scuff marks, but has a crack in the plastic hood/dew shield that has been repaired by the previous owner.
I have used it mostly as a birding lens with my Sony cameras, and occasionally as an astrophoto lens that devliers pinpoint stars with the included TX-07 350mm F4 reducer. An included Canon EOS T2 adapter will allow you to readily use any Canon DSLR with this reducer. You can easily buy other 42mm T-adapters to mount other brands.
Kowa has long discontinued this model, which I feel really fills a niche for nature lovers and astrophotographer.
