Pentax 75 ED HF   Original accessories   0.968” Zenith Prism   RC 2X Barlow   6X30 Finderscope   ClamShell ¼-20 unc stud   Aftermarket Accessories   9" Vixen Rail   1.25”/2” eyepiece adapter   Custom Billet aluminum threaded slip collar OEM to M68x0.75   Blue Fireball M68x0.75 Female to M54x0.75 Male / M48x0.75 Female (for filters) adapter   For astrophotography          Up for your consideration is the Pentax 75 ED HF (Extra-low Dispersion, High -Fidelity). This is a classic, highly regarded 75mm apochromatic refractor. Renowned for its excellent optics designed specifically for astrophotography, featuring a doublet ED glass objective and built-in field flattener for pinpoint stars across a wide field. Its light weight of 4.5lbs makes it a perfect match for imaging on mounts such as the skywatcher star adventurer GTI.   I had a custom aluminum slip collar made so you can attach cameras and accessories to the focuser drawtube for a direct and more secure connection via the Threaded adapter. I have also provided the washer and screw so you can attach a finder/guide scope base in place of the OEM finderscope on focuser housing.   Things to note:   The threaded adapter features a M48x0.75 female thread on the inside of the M54 thread so you can attach 2” astronomy filters on the M68 side.   when using it for visual astronomy it is well known, that bring 1.25 and 2” eyepieces into focus can be a challenge, especially with a star diagonal. The only one I found to work with all three sizes is the Lumicon Lumibrite star diagonal. Which I have but is not included with the purchase along with the Pentax ortho SMC O-7 eyepiece that is seen in the photos.
