For Sale : StellarVue SVX 152T F8 refractor telescope
I purchased this telescope new a few years ago. This telescope is in very good condition. There are a few superficial paint scratches on the Dew Shield.
Visually this telescope produces some extremely sharp views, almost as good as the views through my SVX180.
A few years ago I had it setup at Cherry Springs State Park next to my SVX180 and did a simple shootout. I pointed both telescopes at M13. I used a 5 mm Pentax XW eyepiece in both telescopes. With the 180 I made note of the faintest stars visible in the clusters edge. Through the 152 all of the faintest stars were also visible. Not a very scientific test but I was impressed with the results.
The only reason I am selling this SVX152 is because I recently received an AP 155CS.
Items that are included in this sale.
1. SVX152T with 3.5" Feathertouch focuser with finder bracket
2. Two Telescope rings and one 19" SV dovetail
3. Hard case with wheels for telescope
---------------------------------------------------------------
As a free incentive bonus I am including a StellarVue .75 x Focal Reducer/Flattener. This is the original model FFR and not the current version. This FFR is designed for up to an APS-C sensor size. I paid over $500 for this.
I prefer not to ship this. If you pick it up at my house I will reduce the price by $500. I cannot meet you half way.
If shipped, buyer pays shipping and insurance cost. If using PayPal please add the 3% PayPal fee.
