CFF 10-inch Ritchey-Chrétien Telescope Package for Sale

I am downsizing my equipment and offering for sale my CFF 10-inch Ritchey-Chrétien telescope package. This is a complete astrophotography-ready system that includes the telescope, dedicated flattener, premium 3.5-inch Feather Touch focuser, motorized focusing system, dew-control equipment, cooling fans, two light shrouds, and a dedicated motorized flat-panel cover. The telescope features precision adjustment mechanisms for both the primary and secondary mirrors; and is not so difficult to collimate.

Telescope background

I am the original owner and purchased the telescope from CFF located in Australia in March 2025. The telescope has been operated in professional remote observatory environments, including StarFront Observatory in Texas and DSW/DSPR Observatory in New Mexico.

The CFF 10-inch RC is a relatively portable, medium-sized Ritchey-Chrétien telescope with a carbon-fiber and aluminum-alloy structure. The truss-style design provides good structural stability while allowing relatively rapid thermal equilibration. The telescope uses GSO-made Ritchey-Chrétien optics manufactured in Taiwan.

Sale and delivery

I strongly prefer a local sale or buyer pickup, as shipping a telescope of this size would require professional crating and is something I would prefer to avoid.

However, I am open to negotiating a sale with a non-local buyer. For the right arrangement, I am willing to personally deliver the telescope by driving it to the buyer rather than shipping it. A practical delivery distance would ideally be within approximately 1,000–1,200 miles, although this can be discussed depending on the location.

This is an excellent opportunity to acquire a well-equipped 10-inch CFF Ritchey-Chrétien system at a bargain price of $5,200-$5,500. A comparable new CFF 10-inch RC currently costs approximately $8,500 including shipping from Australia, before considering the additional premium focusing equipment and accessories included in this package. The sale includes the Feather Touch focuser, dedicated flattener, thermal-management and dew-control accessories, and motorized Deep Sky Dad flat-panel cover.
