Extras!

Included are 6 “Lens Coat” wraps for the upper legs. This works great on warm or cold nights as you don’t need gloves and your hands stay warm (even though the aluminum legs get cold in the winter) and you get a good grip on the pier during transport and set up at any temperature! There are also padded wraps for the column arms so no metal-on-metal contact during transportation.

You may be wondering what the yellow triangle bungee cord at the bottom is? What Software Bisque doesn’t say in their documentation is that when setting the pier up, there is nothing from keeping the legs from spreading apart until AFTER the center dish/tray and arms are all put together! The bungee cord assembly keeps everything “happy” during assembly. I keep it attached with the entire set up because when I tear everything down, the legs will not collapse as you remove the center dish/tray. Seems simple but it’s quite effective!

Height of pier with legs fully assembled/spread is about 32 inches. The leg spread diameter is 50 inches so you have a very solid base. I would have kept this pier but I finally found my shorter Monolith pier after a very long search. The Pryamid is a really NICE  portable pier!

 I will ship in the original box (ground) to the lower 48 states. This product was $3,200 new at the time Software Bisque stopped making it. If you search on past sales, some prices were much higher with less features and not nearly in the pristine condition mine is! Asking $1,500. Shipping box is 14 x 17 x 42 inches and will weigh around 50 lbs. It won’t be cheap to ship but will split ground shipping cost to lower 48. (Estimate around $75 (your cost) for shipping). Local pick up available or can meet between Genoa City, WI and Schaumburg, IL during the week at lunchtime).

There are some very nice add-ons available that allow the pier to be used with many Astro-Physics mounts and is how I used it!

There is a hole pattern on a custom adapter plate attached to the Pyramid to accept APs 119FSA flat surface adapter for the 900, 1100 or 1150 mounts AND also for the ADATRI flat surface adapter for the AP 400, 600, Mach1 and Mach2 mounts!  I can supply the custom plate and one or both AP adapters at addition cost broken down below. All stainless-steel hardware would also be included. A stainless steel thumb knob would also be inclued to hold "your" Pier/tripod control adapter for the GTOCP5, CP4, CP3 and CP2 (CBAPT) see pics.
