Herb,

Do believe there will be a point that you have crafted the support, sponsor function is such a way that there will not be this constant campaign for funds? The desired effect would be to have the members of Astromart not need the prodding and provide the funds required.

However, relying on the group as a whole doesn't seem to work, and usually when that happens it is due to a lack of clear direction. When you say the site is in danger some respond because you have given clear instruction at a particular level, but that group is still the minority. That would lead one to believe the message still isn't clear enough, because if it were then a majority would respond. I don't believe that has happened because if it had then you would not need to send out dire messages about the site failing.

I am not looking to suggest a way, you clearly have a vision, only wonder if the final goal is to set up the fund collecting in such a manner that doesn't require years of discussion and lots of your stressing whether this site can stay afloat.

Thanks,

Gerald

It has been kind of quiet in these posts for the last couple of days. Does this mean a solution is in the works?

I stated earlier that I would not want to pay $5.00 up front for an ad. Having given more thought to that statment it is because I am and have usually tried to be a red level supporter that I feel that way.

As for me when I really stop and think about it it seems to me the simple way If it can be done is that if you want to place an ad you must be a supporter. Buyers, shoppers, tire kickers shouldn't have to pay to get in to have a look other than the $12.00 to become a member and I do understand that.

Support levels might be detemined by the amount of ads you want to run. If you are a flipper and want to run 500 ads a year then a higher level of support should be required than for a member who wants to sell one or two items a year. Still if you want to place an ad you MUST support.

Anybody have thoughts on that.
