Can Astronomy Club's have an AM Account?

This may not be a FAQ but this seems the place to ask. The Astronomy Club I belong to , at times, gets donations. Often we can use the items but other times not. If no one in the Club wants to buy these unneeded items they just get set aside and sit there. Can the Club get an AM Account [a Supporting one of course wink ] in order to sell these unneeded items to support the Club's financial needs? The Club is a legitimate "not for profit" organization per the State and Federal tax codes so I'm guessing it could choose the level of Support as would an individual(?). The Club does not have a PayPal account yet but would establish one if an AM Account is available. I have been with this Club for many years and with AM a long time as well so I was asked to look into this. Thanks! Tim

Interesting question. I do not know the answer.

I would suppose if a club tried to join up as a "commercial Vendor" it would be acceptable. But that is just me, and I don't really know.

I just re-read the Terms of Service. I see nowhere that a member must be a "person" and certainly no mention of whether that person must be a human person or a legal person (such as a corporation). There is a requirement that the registrant be 18 years of age. Otherwise, I get nothing out of the TOS to answer the question.

In short, I would suggest you write Astromart itself to check on the answer. (Or perhaps Astromart LLC will be weighing in here sometime soon.)
