What is a TROLL?

I have seen this term used in a few forums. What does it mean?

It's a person who makes a posting on a forum like this just to stir controversy.
They are very unwelcome in Astromart land.

If you want to see some examples of trolls, check out the Politics Forum on ocassion. It's not too uncommon for them to pop up there. They usually get ignored or the thread is redirected.
