Built-in barlow in a binoviewer?

Hi Gang,

I'm new to binoviewing so please excuse me if I ask stupid questions. Recently, I tried a cheap binoviewer (purchased in Europe) in an Orion Starmax 127 and I was surprised to experience that I did NOT need to change focus when I put it into the diagonal. Also, the eye relief of the 25 mm eyepieces _doubled_. Is it possible that this unit employs a barlow lens?

Thank you for reading and greetings from Hungary,
Levente

Hi Levente,
Is there a lens in the nosepiece?
Instead of a barlow, a mild focal reducer?
