Anyone have any experience with the Siebert 1.39 Multimag?
I have a 14.5" f4.3 reflector and a binoviewer that I want to add a little more variety and was looking very closely at this
Thanks,Marty

Hi Marty,

I do not have a Multimag, but I do have a 1.3X OCA and a 3.5 Ultra Barlow from Sieberts. I am very happy with both products. Their design allows me to use either 2" or 1 1/4" filters with both units.

I often use the 1.3X OCA on a refractor, in front of the diagonal. I think this also gives a little color correction to my Celestron 102mm Wide View.

I also currently have a Zoom OCA on order. I hope to be able to publish pictures of the Zoom effect using different binoviewers and a CCD camera.

I have always been very happy with Siebert Optics. You should check with Harry about a money back guarantee.

Marty,

I have the 1.3x OCA and it resides on my TV binoviewer pretty much exclusively. I have really enjoyed using this OCA. I think the images are great, and I love having just a little more field of view around the objects I'm looking at.

With my 18" f/4.3 my 24 Panoptic gives me a 60X, 1.14 deg FOV all by itself. With the 1.3x OCA, it's 77X with a .88 deg FOV. That's about the equivalent of an 18mm eyepiece. Not bad in my book. You can hunt DSO's with that.

I noticed that you live in Westchester. I live in Lombard. We should get together so you can try out my 1.3x OCA sometime in the weeks ahead if it ever clears up again. Send me an email at your convenience and we'll work something out. : )
