1 speed to 2 speed focuser conversion?

I have a single speed 2 inch focuser on my Dob. I would love to find a 10:1 knob assembly to make my single speed into a 2 speed focuser. Is this something I can do? Are the 10:1 knobs on focusers geared inside the focuser itself, or is the knob assembly doing the work?

Thanks Jeff

Hi Jeff,
It can be done and the reduction is all inside the knobs. However the knob can not rotate and there must be a means of holding it still. This is where the work is involved if you cannot get a kit to fit your scope.
Also the Crayford shafts can be a different diameter. I had to make a new one with a step down in diameter.
