115 f7 focus

Hello,

I just got a 115 f7 with a feathertouch focuser. Am I supposed to be able to focus on anything without a diagonal or extension tube? I tried 40 mm, 20 mm, 6.7 mm with and without an ultima 2x and a televue 3x barlows and just could not get anything.

And yes, I did remove the lens cap ;-)

You probably just need a diagonal or extension tube. Just a guess but is this one of the TMB/ APM apo's ? I think those scopes are designed with a generous amount of backfocus for imaging and binoviewing purposes and would most likely require an extension tube to reach focus without a diagonal.
