2" MV-1 thread into a 2" TV diagonal?

Friends, Having just picked up a 5" F/9 achromat with a 2" diagonal, I was wondering if the 2" MV-1(or 20) will thread into the Televue diagnal and be a flush fit such that the OD's of the filter and diagonal are the same and can be reinserted into the focuser? My purchase of a MV-1 or 20 depend on your expertise. Thanks for your help.
