I HAVE A BRAND NEW LX200 GPS WITH UHTC GROUP, IVE ALIGNED IT AS ACCORDING TO THE MANUAL USING THE AUTOMATED ALIGHNMENT, AFTER I HAVE FOUND THE ALIGNMENT STARS & GOT THE ALIGNMENT SUCCESSFUL MESSAGE ON THE AUTOSTAR I TRIED SEVERAL TIMES TO GOTO THE MOON, IT WAS TERRIBLY OFF, I THEN MANUALLY SLEWED & CENTERED THE MOON & SYNCED THE LOCATION & THEN WOULD TRY TO GO BACK TO THE MOON IT WOULD GO BACK TO THE WRONG LOCATION AGAIN! IVE OWNED A LX90 & NEVER RUN INTO THIS PROBLEM, CAN ANY ONE HELP!

Hi David -

First of all, please TURN YOUR CAPS LOCK OFF!. All caps is the equivalent of 'yelling' on the internet. Thank you!

Have you tried loading the updated software (available at meade's site) for the Autostar II? I would try that first and then try an alignment again.

David,

I too had this issue. I found the training the drives resolved it. Do a high power training session with a cross hain E.P. and this should resolve the issue.

Also, as noted in another post, upgrade the software per Meade's website.

Joe.
