Hi Mike,
Really I am looking for a "reasonable" spotting scope. I actually ordered off of ebay one of Alpens little 20x50 scopes and it works pretty well. 145' at 1000 yds view and the actual scope says "Fully Multicoated". Whether it is or not I dont know, so I shelled out $60 for this thing and was thinking, OK, if this one is pretty good, maybe one up the line might be ok--they market various models with more power and larger objectives, etc. I can get a very good deal on a larger one, but I am very "fussy" about my optics. (I do have a GREAT pair of Nikon 8x32 SE's that I have been spoiled by.)
I guess I was just looking for someone, anyone that might have actually used their spotting scopes, before I took the plunge. I dont have a large budget to work with. If I did I would just order the new Swarovski ATA80 ED with the 20-60 zoom and be done with it. Kind of the champagne tastes on beer (or closer to water) budget!! HA!
Kenny just continues to crack me up--keep up the good work??
