The factory Tak clamshell seems to be overkill for me - does anyone make a more lightweight alternative? I'm only mounting it to a heavy photo tripod. Not coming up with anything on Google or A/M. Thanks...

Borg makes a lightweight plastic clamshell tube holder for 80mm tubes. I've got one on my 4" refractor, and it works like a charm!
