Found this and was wondering if anyone can shed any light on it. I think its and early screw Optical instrument for measurement of astronomical photograph plates. Let me know what you think

Nice. Looks like the format is long and skinny... and OLD! Only one precision micrometer knob. Maybe it was used to measure spectra?! Cool! Tom
