Ummm kinda LOL.
Amazing how a person could have a long enough exposure to see details on the moon but sill have the sun look right :-)

Kinda think maybe a little cut and paste went on here haha

Simple -

Photographers commonly use bounce reflectors to enhance foreground lighting in backlit situations.

I would suggest that this photographer used a 400,000 square mile sheet of tin foil, in some type of rigid frame, placed in lunar orbit.

By remotely controlling the angle of the reflector, he acheived the desired lunar phase for the eclipse. Genius !

At first I thought it was faked. You know, the way NASA put together those moon shots to "prove" that man had been to the moon.

Then I saw this special on Fox News (We report--You decide.)

Apparently this picture was taken from Los Angeles, California. In this part of the world, the sun bounces off the Pacific Ocean. The bright reflection has been known to light up even the fully eclipsed moon.

Remember Los Angeles is really part of Hollywood.

(Badastronomy.com has nothing to do with this picture--but it is always quaint and curious to see what those know-it-all-and-you-don't omniscient "Skeptics" think of the news and world events.)
