Anyone recognize this eyepiece?

I purchased a used C-8 a few years ago here on A-mart, and the fellow that sold it to me sent me this 26mm Celestron plossl eyepiece. I've looked around online and never seen another one that looks like it, and I was wondering if someone could confirm this was the standard plossl eyepiece that they shipped with their scopes.

It doesn't have a rubber eyeguard, and there's really no place I see where you could put one on. Other than that, there's nothing special about it.

Thanks,

Gary

Looks to me to be one of the Standard Taiwanese Plossls that Celestron sold about 8 years ago. I had the 32mm, 17mm and the 10mm to go with my C-8 and they were pretty good eyepieces. If I am not mistaken, at the time, they were the only Plossls other than the Ultimas (which are not really PLossls) that Celestron sold.

There is a rather comprehensive test of various eyepieces in the April 1996 issue of Sky and Telescope, including these standard Celestron Plossls. All the eyepieces were tested not only on the optical bench but in the field as well. I believe the 25mm was one of the three of this series that was tested so you could get the exact data on the focal length, thru-put etc..
