I need to add a finder scope for 80mm Apogee and want to get some opinions. Also, this scope came with no instructions and the folks at Apogee have not been much help.
How the heck would you mount the guide scope anyway? There do not seem to be any holes for a dovetail? On my old C8 there were mounting holes for accessories. Actually there is one small hex head screw on either side of top center line (where you would expect mounting holes to be) but only one hole? Usually you would have at least 2 screws to secure a dovetail?
My plans were to use this scope and then make it a guide scope/finder on larger instument. Anyone have idea were to get mounting/alignment rings for it.
