I'm new into the Amatuer Astonomer world, but have been loving it so far, have a Celestron Schidmt 8".
1.25" eyepieces
Have two general questions, where I've tried to read about them, but most just assume you know:
First:
Filters - I want to get some, but not quite sure how they work or what I should look for, do you just hold them over the top of the eyepiece and look through them, or do they fit inside the eyepiece or diagonal some how, are there certain ones I should look for? Want quality stuff that will last me and is easy to use.
Second:
Photography - Eventually I want to start taking pictures, most likely with an older 35mm camera, don't understand how the lenses work, read some about how I'll need a T-ring adapter for the specific camera, but how do you control the magnification? Can I use my existing eyepieces some how with a camera, beside just taking a picture through the eyehole, or do you have do buy all new special "camera" lenses that fit into the telescope? With all different maginifications?
Appreciate any feedback from you guys, take care,
-Chad
