Best EP for 10" Dob

I have decided to get the Orion 10" Intelliscope 1200mm/f4.7. It comes with a 25 and a 10 eyepiece. I currently have a relatively nice 14 I use in my ETX90. I do have a cheap 2x barlow and I am interested to know if replacing it with a better quality will provide benefit.

The new Orion has a 2 inch focuser.

Questions
1 - Which EPs are the best to use in this type scope? Planetary and lunar? DSO?
2- Any recommendations on a quality barlow?

There are lots of suggestions for eyepieces, they all involve spending quite a bit of money, I think there are alternatives that work quite nicely and provide pleasing views for a reasonable sum.

I own 3 DOBs, one of them is an 10inch F5 GS Dob that has good optics. I have a variety of eyepieces. In the shorter focal lengths I have 4,5,7,9 mm Orthos including a couple of UO's, in the medium focal lengths I have an 12.5 Ultima, and a 15mm Parks plus an old Televue Wide Field 24mm.

Recently I bought the 6mm, 9mm and 15mm Adorama Ultra Widefields which are the same as the Orion Expanses.

At this time, these plus the TV Widefield are all I use. THey have their faults, some ghosting, particularily in the 6mm but Rod Mollise, author of the SCT book, says his new 6 mm does not have this problem so it may be that they have taken care of the ghosting.

Some have used these in some pretty fast scopes and reported that they perform nicely, I use them in an F4.1 with a Paracorr and I am quite impressed.

So, yeah, those TV eyepieces are nice, they are expensive and heavy too, which can cause a balance problem with a DOB or with any scope.

But there are alternatives that do a nice job and are quite inexpensive as well.

Thanks for everyone's input!

I'm thinking of getting something in the 4-10mm range for the planets and moon. Something in the 175-250x range. And when seeing is good I can put that on a barlow for high mag.

What are thoughts on the Vixen Lanthanum EPs and the Meade 4000UWA?

I like to use a number of eyepieces when I use my 10" f 4.5 equatorial. 31mm Nagler, 26mm Nagler, 20mm Nagler and 14mm Ultra Wide. They all work fantastic, depending on what you want to view. I have higher power eyepieces also, but these 4 are the ones I use the most.

Thanks for everyone's input. As of now I'm leaning toward the 8mm Radian and the 2.5 Powermate. That will give me powers of 150 and 375 in the Orion 10" Dob.

Is this a good start for planetary and lunar viewing along with DSOs.

One more EP I've considered. The 8mm Orion Lanthanum Superwide. They state it is an apparent FOV of 65 which is more than the Radian.

Any thoughts or observations?
