I showed my wife an ad in ATT of Roland sitting happy in front of his AP3600 mount and said: do you mind if I get one of these? I was expecting her to "get the joke" but she said: "You already have one of those."
Then I realized that my AP900/ATS pier is morphologically similar to the AP3600/ATS and that to the untutored eye I do indeed "have one of those."
It occurs to me that I could therefore get an AP3600 in the same way that I discovered I could own "a white refractor" without getting into the fine details of which white refractor was coming or going. AP3600 might put a hole in the bank account, though. But I guess if I sold everything else I could use it with a white refractor.
