C-11 broken corrector

Well, I think I know the answer, but have to ask.
I went to setup tonight and the corrector on my C-11 is cracked from edge to secondary holder. No clue how it happened, and guess it doesn't matter. I now have a $1000 paperweight, right?
I tried searching archives, but am apparently too distraught to do that effectively.
Any ideas other than using as a flowerpot?

Celestron will replace it. Free if under warranty, and at fairly low cost if old. I had a 10 year old C8 which cracked and they replaced the corrector for about $150.
