Hi. I'm new to Astromart.
About 10 years ago I bought a used C5 spotting scope. Got a Skyview deluxe EQ mount for it. I have used it off and on over the years, my interest was never to strong. Now I have a DSLR camera and started taking pictures of the moon. In general using it more.
Dirt or dust spots show up on the photo's. I can look in thru the corrector plate and see some dust and dirt on the inside of the plate and on the mirror. Can't really see the secondary to well to tell if it is dirty but I imagine it is like the rest. Not real bad but more than just a few specks.
So what is the best way to get the little scope cleaned? I'm affraid to take it apart myself. Does Celestron do this sort of work? How about third party service? Can the scope be tuned up while they have it apart?
Thanks
Charlie
