Is the Gm8 a good mount for the Celestron c9.25 for visual use.
I had a c9.25 on a Celstron cg5 and it didnt work well.

No problem for the GM8 at all for visual use.

Part of the success or issue is the tripod. If you have a super sturdy tripod, the GM-8 might work out. I had my C9.25" on the following:
GP-DX: shaky to focus at high mag, kind of at the limit. HAL110 tripod inadequate.
Sphinx: shaky to focus at high mag, a tad more stable than the GP-DX. Tripod a bit inadequate.
EM-200: still shaky to focus, esp. for high mag planetary webcamming. Acceptable.
A-P Mach 1: Decent with the Eagle metal tripod. Good.

Good luck!
