Celestron CG-5 ASGT mount and 6" f8???

Hello,
I am thinking of getting a CG-5 ASGT mount for my 6" f8
newtonian. Does anyone know how well this mount will handle the OTA? I don't think the tube wt. is much of a problem but will a 6" f8 hang down to much and hit the tripod sides?

I have the c10 on the CG5 ASGT mount. My 10" scope is about maximum for the mount. You should be fine.
