Celestron CG-5 Mount / Motor Problems

I just bought a CG-5 mount and added a dual-axis drive. I can hear the motor working, but it doesn't seem to be engaging the worm drive. I've tried the adjustments suggested in the documentation, with no luck. Short of taking the whole thing apart, does anyone have any suggestions or similar experience? Thanks!

DOes one part of clutch move without the other?
Check to see that there is a washer between the two brass pieces of the clutch.
Check that the clutch parts are on their respective shafts correctly (with the set screw tight enough.
