Celestron SkyScout - over 17,000 sold!

I read on another forum that over 17,000 units the Celestron SkyScout have been sold to date! WOW! Home run for Celestron on this baby. I wonder the experience level of the buyers? I would suspect that this is a great device for introducing people to the sky and getting them "into" the hobby.

I got one for use in public outreach. Members of the public that attend star parties and similar events are fascinated with the SkyScout, especially since it can be used to let them do the "hands-on" location or identification of an object in the night sky.
