Celestron telescope

My husband bought me a Celestron telescope several years ago as a gift. We used it one time and now I want to sell it. The problem is I am trying to locate the manual to see what model it is . I'm still looking but it most likely is buried in a box in the basement. The telescope is in a hard plastic air tight box with wheels. It has a heavy duty tri-pod seperate from the telescope box. Is there a place on the telescope that will have the model number? There are many boxes of accessories, would the model number be on those boxes? He spent several thousand $ when he purchased it originally. Any help would be appreciated.

looks like the 9.25 inch SCT. I dont now alot about celestron scopes (im a meade guy) but there should be some markings or identification plate on the telescope.

There are usually some markings inside the front,
around the big glass lens; you will need to remove
the big lens cap to see them. Sometimes there are
also markings on the base where the electronics are.

This looks like the Celestar 8. The tripod will determine if this the Standard C8 with Wedgepod (non removable wedge) or Deluxe version with removable heavy duty wedge.

Which tripod/mount looks more like the one you have?

Celestar 8 - http://www.astromart.com/classifieds/details.asp?classified_id=388577

One other thing the C8 Deluxe has the PEC feature in the base of the fork arms.
