CG4 Mount RA Ring Slips

I just received a new Celestron Omni XLT 102ED refractor, my first telescope! When I move the mount in RA, the RA setting ring does not move with the mount even though the thumbscrew is tight. It will move some and then quit even though I am still turning it in RA. Can someone shed some light on this for me? Is there a simple solution to this problem. I sure hate to think of sending it back since I live in VA and Celestron is in CA.

Its probably a defect, as the ring should stick when the thumbscrew is tight.

But hey, more importantly, are you really using those setting circles? Why dont you get a digital setting circle kit and make life easier?
