Cotton for cleaning mirror

Hello:

I planned to clean my mirror months ago, but have been unable to find "surgical cotton." Can you all let me know what brand and type of cotton you use? My understanding is that the general Johnson and Johnson sterile cotton balls are abrasive. Can any of you point me to what I need, either at a supermarket or drug store or on the internet.

Thanx so much.

Gregg, check out the local drug store. They should have rolls of it in a box.

I've not had any problems with the Johnson and Johnson
sterile cotton balls. I'd be interested to hear more
if someone is having a problem. May depend on technique
also.

The issue is not whether it is surgical, but whether it contains something it should not. Many "Cotton balls" are part polyester--and that may cause problems when you use alcohol.

So, call it 100% cotton, and it will be easier to find.
