Discovery 8" PDHQ

Dear All,
I know the Discovery 8" PDHQs are "new", in that they haven't been offered as PDHQs in the past (I imagine someone upgraded the DHQ), but I'm wondering if anyone has recently purchased one, and what they think?

Doug

Discovery's web site does not list an 8" PDHQ:

Are you talking about the 8" DHQ with the $125 pedastal and bearing upgrade? The one at the top of this page:

That upgrade seems to be available for any of the DHQs, but doesn't look to make them into a PDHQ. For one thing, it appears the bearings are still the small DHQ sized ones.
