Does any supplier carry 102 mm f/6.95 ED doublets

Fellas,

Howdy again, after such a long break I seriously doubt anyone remembers me. I was an Astromart junky way back on the original site, before the current design. I went cold turkey after spending waaayyy too much time online.

Nice to stop by again.

I'm dreaming about a long focus refractor in another thread, but would really like to build a set of binoculars from the 102 mm f/6.95 ED doublets being featured in several scopes right now. I'm talking about Stellarvue, AstroTech, etc. You've seen them.

I've been to Markus' site and don't see them. Tried Gary Hand and none there either. Does anybody have access to these objectives alone, not as OTA's?

Thank you,
Joel Elliott

Joel: I would contact the various vendors who market the 102mm F/7's and see what they can do for you. Orion seems unlikely but the others, AT, SV and WO are possibilities, probably a slim chance though.

I've been thinking of a long focal length refractor myself. There really aren't very many options in this age of wide-field short tube designs.
If you find something interesting, I'd sure like to know about it. I don't need an apo for this type of thing. I'm just looking for a dedicated planetary scope. -Kurt Horsley
