Ed Ting's 90mm Shootout

I was quite interested in this review since I bought a new C90 spotting scope awhile ago. I haven't, for various reasons, taken the scope out yet for first light but the review looks promising:

The scope, as Ed Ting notes, feels substantial(although light)in your hands. I bought an inexpensive tripod for it at Walmart but I suspect it will work out just fine.

Rod:

I will be interested to see how it works out for you. Reading Ed's report it did seem that the seeing was bad and he was never able to push the scopes enough to really see what they could do.

How is the tripod working for you? I have never found a department store tripod that was able to do a telescope like an 90mm Mak justice...
