ep's for public observing

I take my homebuilt 12" dob to a local nature center to let the kids look through. I'd like to find a couple of nice, inexpensive ep's to use. Right now I have a set of UO widescans that I use. As these are getting rare, I'd like to keep them for my own observing. Anybody got any suggestions? Some good orthos or plossls would be nice. Somewhere in the $50 each range. Thanks, Doug

I have found the Nexstar plossls to be an outstanding value. I have seen them for around $25 used. 25mm gives very good views. I have not tried the others.

I bought a set of the Orion "cheapie" eyepieces, not the Plossl's (although one or two are actually 4 element plossl's, the others are 3 element Kellners) I was very favorably impressed with them in an f/12 scope and on an f/6 dob. When bought on sale and in sets of three they cost less than 20.00 each.

Doug,

The Adorama Pro-Optic Ploessls are reasonably good for the price. Some people think the GTO Ploessls are good buys.
