Yahooo! grin The EQ Platform finally arrived and it seems to work fine. I now need to get it up on the mountain and see how it tracks. This should be fun with the DSC and the tracking. smile
Now to learn how to use it and set the speed control.

Ok, I got the special feet installed on the Starmaster and now it sits securely on the top of the platform. The feet go through the three holes in the top and there is no way for the scope to slip. This should be pretty good I think. It added 3 to 3.5" to the height of the scope at Zenith. I can just reach the EP. But usually you don't spend a lot of time at Zenith anyway.
I went through everything and made some repairs and changes. Needed to have the bubble level shimmed to show true level for instance. Also had to adjust the micro-switch stops as they had moved in shipment.
Over all the things seems to work fine. Runs smoothly but it does take about 3 minutes to rewind if you don't do it manually.
I installed a compass on it so there is always one there to point to true north.
I am now going to put some stops that will limit the movement when I manually reset it. This should make reset simple.
Now to get a chance to put it to the test. maybe Saturday night I will get the chance.
I found the manual on line and down loaded it. That was a help! grin
I will give my thoughts on the unit when I get a full test done.
