Does any body know how I can mount the head of an Orion EQ1 mount to a more stable tripod than the one supplied with it by Orion?

Thanks

Mine has a 3/8" attachment, which is standard on many heavy duty tripods. But there is that "funny" post that the threaded part is in, so I don't know how well that would work. Maybe make some wooden legs to help?

Good luck,
Charlie
