Eye dilation. (It's more intresting than it sounds)

When I go to the optometrist for my eye exam, I'm administered eye drops that hyper-dilates my eyes for a few hours (I think it's Botox(tm) for my pupils). It occurs to me that this would be great thing to counteract the effects of an inadvertent light exposure at a dark sky site.

- Has this been discussed before?
- Are those eye drops a controlled substance?
- Who likes pizza?
- Am I way out on this eye drop thing?

I don't know, I don't know, I do, probably.

Sorry, it's late here at the office. I should go home.

I'm not sure if it would work. When my eyes are dilated by the eye doctor, I can't focus on anything. I have no idea if it is because of the overdose of photons, or because the eye focusing muscles are de-activated by the drops too.

Thanks for the warning on that stuff.

So would you say that stuff is better or worse than the side effects of the pizza?

I know my eyes get big when I see a good pizza, and my mouth starts watering. Sometimes my mouth gets burned. I almost always overdose on the stuff, to the point of gastric distress. And, depending on whether my wife is around and sees me eating it, I get an obsession about guilt.

You still think the eye stuff has worse side effects?
