I took my telescope to Florida with me on spring break. Somehow, I got some water on the inside of it. One onf my friends said that I could bake the water out of it; he said it worked with his bino's. Any other suggestions besides buying a new one, or taking it apart?

I had this happen on all of my eyepieces a year ago, after a particularly dewey night. I put them all in the oven, set at it's lowest temperature (Warm),with the door ajar, and monitored them closely. When they started to clear, I took them out. By the time they had cooled down, they were completely clear. Mine, once cleared, showed no adverse effects. I like the previous idea as well, if you have a source for dessicant, which will be less stressful to the EPs.
