I've built a storage case for my eyepieces. Just to make the project more interesting, I was thinking of wiring it for 12V heating element(s) or red painted light bulbs. My thinking was a case to "preheat" eyepieces to prevent/delay dewing or to store a dewed up eyepiece for drying out.
Has anyone ever tried this? What wattages would be needed to generate enough "dry air" in a (mostly)closed wooden box to be effective?
If this idea is totally useless, I'll just install some red light bulbs for ambient lighting. It'll be like the guys in Pulp Fiction when they open that briefcase.
