I'm in the decision process on a 2" Crayford focuser for my C11. Mostly visual use - migrating toward photography.
- I have tried the 2" Williams Victory: Pros are sturdiness, 13 lb load capacity, and threads to the visual back; Cons are weight 2+ lbs, advertised to be rotatable but is not, drawtube range 31mm.
- Considering the GSO or the Starlight: both lighter weight and less load capacity, both promise to truly be rotatable.
- Since I can always use the Celestron's backfocuser for approximate focus, should I even be concerned about drawtube travel?
- What ideas/suggestions do my fellow astronomers have on this?
