Focusing Problem - Celestron SP C102

I was hoping someone could help me with a problem I am having with an "old" Celestron SP C102 (F9.8) I just purchased on CN classifieds. It's in pretty good condition but I can't seem to get it to focus with most eyepieces. Also it won't focus at all with a barlow. The problem is that the the focuser won't travel "in" enough. I am using an astro tech diagonal.

Does anyone have any ideas or suggestions?

Thanks

Hi Gary
I do not know this scope but you don't mention how much more "in" travel you need. But you can switch to a low profile 1.25"/2" adapter. You can try an 1.25" diagonal. This should shorten the lightpath a bit more than a 2" diagonal, and you can remove the diagonal altogather and try straight thru. There are several makers of focus adapters for binoviewers that screw into the scope end of the diagonal that extend the light path to accommodate the longer lightpath of the binoviewer.
Just a few thoughts

I had this problem with a scope and noticed that the 1 1/4" to 2" adapter in my 2" diagonal was about 3/16" high. In other words, the adapter was moving my eyepiece that distance further back. A flush sitting adapter solved the problem.
