Does anybody know if you can buy a hand control for a G-11 with a coiled cord? The cords for the motors are coiled and I think it would much better if the hand control cord was also coiled.

Nothing in education is so astonishing as the amount of ignorance it accumulates in the form of inert facts.

I don't know of anyone selling them but I've made one up to power my ST-4 autoguider with a coiled cord that I salvaged from something else. That wasn't too bad to do because it only consisted of 2 wires. If you can find a 6-wire coiled cord then all you need is a RJ-25 (6-contact) male plug and a crimp tool (of which Radio Shack sells both). It might take some soldering on the hand control side but the other end is a simple crimp.

I plan on trying to find the nessisary cord and making one up as soon as the holidays pass.

I have not tried this, but a friend said he does it to all his cords.
Get a small dowel rod. Use a rubberband to hold one end to the rod, wind the cord around the rod, heating as you wind.Use a hair dryer on high, heating the cord (as warm as you can get it without damage to cord). When finished put rubberband on end and, let it set over night.
Hope this is of some use.
