Hello All,

Anyone know anything or have experience with the Galileo telrad/rigel - type finder? I saw it on the Apogee website, it's very inexpensive!

TIA

I have used several and they are great. Also, I believe they have a switch for red/green led selection.

Thanks for the responses -- seems like I prompted some people to buy them -- maybe I should ask Apogee to give me one as commission,

I'll get one sometime and report on it.

I just ordered one as well. They said the circles are 1/4, 1/2, and 2 degrees?? Sounds a little tight to me.

I broke down and ordered one of these last week. It arrived this AM. Big plus, it uses AA batteries (included). Another plus, it is essentially the same as a Telrad in design but 2/3 the size and weight, maybe even lighter.
One negative- the ring pattern is much smaller than a telrad's and not very sharp. With the intensity very low it is a little easier to discern the rings sharply but they tend to bloom with increased intensity. This is done in a darkroom.
I will attach to a scope and give a test the next clear night and report back.
