My nephew is 14 yrs old and and has shown a real interest in telecopes. Used binocs now for some time. I have had him with me when using my Nexstar11. I got a very good deal on an older model 10" Discovery dob with a new focuser. It works well. My sister and I have decided that he should get this one for Christmas this year. I need some help. I need recomendations on a small set of eyepieces at reasonable cost to give to him--remember he is 14! He knows how to treat optics and seems responsible--he is 14 (did I mention that.) I also need a collimation set for this scope for him. Same parameters. I appreciate any suggestions. I have also realized that I do not know the f ratio on this scope. It does not appear that Discovery makes this model anymore. The only marking I can find is in magic marker on the back of the mirror, it has 5.7 on it. Is this it.
Thanks,
