I'd like to get a new mount for my C8 OTA and have narrowed down the choices to a GP-DX or the new Synta HEQ5. The HEQ5 is cheaper and includes the dec and r.a. motors. To add those to the GP-DX is a lot more money.
I'm not heavily into astrophotography; I've made a few eyepiece projection photos of the sun and moon, which were fun, and may want to do a little more in the future, but right now I'm just enjoying the view.
Any recommendations?
I should add that I don't have a lot of choices: I live in Slovenia, the dealer is nearby but doesn't carry many brands, and it's more of a hassle getting big items shipped from abroad than I care to undertake again.
