How to Make a Light Shroud

As a long-time refractor user, I've recently acquired a nice 8" truss dob. Could someone point me to instructions on how to make a fabric light shroud for it? If a properly fitted light shroud is in place, does this help mitigate potential dewing issues?

I'm thinking of some sort of lycra-like fabric sewn in a simple tube--am I on the right direction?

Thanks!

Hi Don,
Yes, a fabric that contains a percentage of Lycra is good. Best that the cloth be light absorbing and dull on the interior. With an 8" truss you can buy a tube style that will fit it well at a local fabric store. This will make it only necessary to add hems and a pull cord if needed. The fabric is a seamless tube and is fairly thin but works well.
This picture shows my 10" with this type material used for the shroud.
Yes it helps with light, dust and dew.
