Anyone out there know of a "discount" source for Hurst Synchronous motors? All the suppliers I have tried want 65 to 100 dollars apiece!

Their website is:

http://www.herbach.com/Merchant2/merchant.mv?Screen=CTGY&Store_Code=HAR&Category_Code=SYNCTIME

This is the "Hurst" page and navigating their system is a bit time comsuming. Hit "motors" on the menu, On the next menu hit "synchronous motors" and it should get you there.

Well, I have found an answer to my question/problem, sort of... Herbach & Rademan http://www.herbach.com have a 3 rpm motor that is listed as 110 vac/240 vac at a pretty high torque rating. At 27.50 I ordered one and it indeed is high torque and fits my application on a EQ platform perfect. Much better than the Hurst option at close to 80.00!! Since I don't use a drive corrector I don't know if it would respond to varying frequency inputs for speed control, but see no reason why it won't. I runs very quiet and no heat buildup at all. The other motor I tried got VERY hot.
